I bought Guild Wars 2 over two weeks ago and have been playing a human Warrior and while Guild Wars 2 had been initial confusing, its gotten seriously addicting this past week. I never played Guild Wars 1 before and I knew nothing about Guild Wars 2 before buying it beyond there being a war and guilds. The reason I actually purchased myself a copy was because the guild I’m in (more like a community) became really active in Guild Wars 2 when the betas were ongoing (Twelve Guild Wars 2 introduction), so deciding to join in playing the game was quite easy – it’s always fun to play games together =D.
Now upon entering Guild Wars 2 for the first time, I was swamped by a wave of complexity and unfamiliarity, everything in Guild Wars 2 was so foreign and different from past massive multi-player online role-playing games I’ve played and so figuring out what to do in the game took all my focus. Not understanding how things worked in Guild Wars 2 was frustrating and annoying at times but slowly learning just how things functioned and what was what, I became familiar with the game and at the same time fun was brought back. For new players Guild Wars 2 may be hard to get used to but once you get your bearings and figure out what to do, that’s when the adventure begins and when fun takes hold of you.

Just beautiful, the way the smoothness of the waters surface is complimented by the background, how incredibly breathtaking
Currently I’m only level 35 (maximum level is level 80), so I’m not really familiar with the end game content but Guild Wars 2 does seem to be primarily focused on the World vs World player vs player content and from the little I have played of it (no matter what level you are you can participate in the world vs world as your level by default gets knocked up to level 80 in those zones), its an intense and fun experience. I rolled with my guild as they coordinated assaults against the opposing Worlds and while I was green in player vs player, I quickly learned the in’s and out’s and what to do while at the same time having immense fun.
The biggest positive which I find at the moment about Guild Wars 2 is the graphics, its just stunning and pleasing to look at, the amount of breathless moments that overcome me when I’m taken by wondrous and gorgeous environments complimenting truly creative and defined setting has become just too many count, now I just enjoy the soft and pleasing sights before me as I adventure.
And speaking about an adventure, on the Twelve Guild forums, I have an ongoing thread active dealing with my adventure through Tyria (the world of Guild Wars 2) and I title it: The Fantastic Adventures of Syphin: Across the World of Tyria, so if you are interested and curious about how my adventures across Tyria are going, do drop by and enjoy the journey along with me =D.
The server I’m based on is the Isle of Janthir and my characters name is Akairen.
