[Theory] Edens Zero – Was Pino Created On Granbell?

Pino is one of the most mysterious characters in Edens Zero. In addition to her lost memory, there is also her enigmatic origins and the reserved focus Mashima-sensei has been handling Pino with throughout the story so far. It has been stated that Ziggy created her but if that was the case, why has Ziggy not created any more anti-bots? He is an android, so he surely must know the process involved in creating an anti-bot unless there are reasons he cannot create anti-bots.

Edens Zero Chapter 172 – The Edenverse: Universe 3

The dynamics between time, space and Rebecca’s relevance comes to the forefront within this chapter as allusions to her role going forward continues to nudge at the deeper mysteries within Edens Zero. In addition to affecting the flow of the future, Rebecca has also become the key to unlocking and developing the existence of the Multiverse. What this means is that while one world exist, so to do countless others. Similar yet radically different worlds that are both connected and independent from one another residing and breathing alongside each other. Where Rebecca comes in is possessing the unique ability of being able to navigate through such worlds. Not only is Rebecca able to manipulate time and space relative to her world but her ability to displace herself allows her to transition “herself” into spaces outside the one she usually exist in. The applicability of such a power means that the Multiverse, or in this case, the Edenverse, is going to become a more prominent setting for the story going forward. A setting that will drive and dictate the story.

Edens Zero Chapter 171 – Kaede Cosmos: Finding Ziggy

Perpetually in a state of reaction, the Edens Zero have constantly failed to close the distance between themselves and Ziggy over the past three years. Whenever they acquired pieces of information that led them to Ziggy, he was always one step ahead and one moment later. Without a proper information network, all the Edens Zero had been doing is filtering information that had already expired in terms of encountering Ziggy. Facing such a barrier, their encounter with Connor could be a blessing or a seed planted by Ziggy to blossom into the ruin that may end up engulfing them.

Edens Zero Chapter 169 – Declaration And Resolve

That awkward moment you get when the bandage on Shiki’s face that existed since the very first chapter turns out to be surprise reveal. I noticed it yet I didn’t notice it. The bandage blended in with Shiki’s overall design that I never found myself wondering why it was there. The moment Shiki began to remove his bandage, my mind literally arrived at the thought – ‘there was a bandage there?’ For a scar that embodies a major moment in Shiki’s life, Mashima-sensei did an amazing job hiding such a relevance. The revelation was such a discombobulating one that I do feel I hoodwinked myself by failing to acknowledge the relevance of the bandage earlier. Even future Shiki that Rebecca met had the scar. What a rush though. Shiki’s scar not only represents a meaningful moment in his past but the act of him removing the bandage signals his resolve to continue forward with his eyes wide open in regards to Ziggy.

Edens Zero Chapter 167 – Shield Of Edens: Memories Of You

Life is but a string of consequences. Each action we take, each choice we make leads to an outcome that is valued through subjective interpretation. For better or for worse, our minds define the reality we exist in. The feeling of loss has a way of creating an agonizing attachment to a time free from such pain. Yet no matter how hard we try, time flows forward and what has passed has passed. The loss overwhelming the Edens Zero crew is a consequence of life that exist on the path they thread. Were the choices made really “wrong” and who can say how the alternative path sought would define itself in. All one can truly do is accept the path and move forward.

Edens Zero Chapter 165 – Shield Of Edens: Path Forward

Faced with an impossible choice and armed with knowledge of how situations can proceed if a bad choice is made such as the time Shiki recalled being killed by Drakken Joe, it is understandable why in this moment, Shiki came to the conclusion that the risk attached to stopping the bombs was too great to commit himself toward. The information on hand lacked a level of certainty that a thread of confidence could be attached to. Gazing at the endless horizon of uncertainty the paths stretched towards, it is salient through Shiki’s actions how dismayed he felt. For someone who views the world through such a positive outlook, having to reconcile these types of decisions against his heart must hurt. But that is life and such pain can help one grow. Never stop believing Shiki. And never stop loving. The path forward may be harsh but don’t let it break you.

Edens Zero Chapter 164 – Shiki VS Shura: Gravity’s Beginning

What we thought was the end of the gravity was but a layer masking the deeper depths that lay beyond. Gravity doesn’t just affect the world but ALL matter whether it holds form or not. Poseidon Nero discovered this truth much too late and as such not only had his life crushed but his Ether Gear drained by Ziggy’s gravity. Shura even learned about gravity’s potential right before his defeat. What Shura thought was merely a force to weight others down with was only a fraction of the face of possibility. Gravity, as a power, exist in a form much deeper than that. The weight of its force lies in the resolve driving its application. A foundation shaken within Shura by the doubts manifesting within his heart. It is also due to gravity that Ziggy managed to activate the antimatter bombs on Nero 66. What remains now is to see whether gravity can in turn also remedy this situation. How will Shiki and Rebecca use their combined powers to save everyone?

Edens Zero Chapter 163 – Shiki VS Shura: Resistance

Victory blinds one to the shadow of failure and desire eludes sight from the light of prudence yet desperation empowers recklessness with the weight of resolution. As Shiki and Ziggy are cornered in their respective battles, their loses become solidified in their opponents minds creating a blind spot for Shura and Nero. The weight of the convictions challenging them crash down on them like the reality they chose to ignore. What an absolutely spectacular chapter filled with thrills, twists and terrifying possibilities. Will Rebecca come into play or will the battle be decided in the current reality with the participants present? The resistance Shiki’s offers Shura suggest that Rebecca may not need to use her Cat Leaper abilities.

Edens Zero Chapter 162 – Ziggy VS Nero: Absolute Victory

How fascinating. So the Empire Dice Nero possesses is not his Ether Gear but a relic he obeys in order to escape the reality of defeat. Rather than purely using the Empire Dice according to his will, Nero instead follows the guidance provided by the Dice. Their relation is a transactional one with an equal cost balancing out the triumphant. Nero has continually chosen to pay the price in the face of that absolute victory. If the Dice possesses some form of sentience, did it have a reason for leading Nero to adopting Shura? And if so, does its awareness extend to the Shura’s intentions for Nero 1? How does the Empire Dice perceive the path to victory and where exactly did it come from?
