Despite my attempts at understanding what happened with Mavis’s child, I failed to even consider August relevant to Mavis even with the acknowledgement that August would serve a key role being the last the Spriggan 12. I questioned Larcade’s age not being consistent with when Mavis’s child was implied to have been born yet did not look at the one character whose age would allow the timing to fall in line. Even the desperation August had at finding an answer to the reason Zeref didn’t love his child, it makes sense now why such a question would torment August inside. His power and devotion to Zeref all make sense now.

Fairy Tail Chapter 525 – The Child Of Mavis

So Larcade really is Mavis’s son? How was he able to survive for so long or was his birth delayed by Mavis’s body being entrapped within a Lacrima prison? Given Irene, it is not impossible but how did Mavis give birth to Larcade and why is she unaware of having a son? Mavis meeting Larcade is inevitable and now that Zeref has injured Larcade, Mavis will need to be brought back into focus to save her son. She will convey to Larcade what love is; what a parents love is, particularly, what a mother’s love. And August will finally have his answer for why ‘his majesty’s son was not loved’, because he was loved already despite Mavis not knowing of his existence and Larcade not knowing of his mother’s existence. Mavis will “save” Larcade and help liberate him as to who he really is.

Acnologia really is a piece of work. How arrogant can he get stating that as Irene is the mother of Dragon Slayers, she is his sin. Does he really believe that he is THAT significant that the fate of the world and its future rest on his shoulders. It should be the other way around, because Irene created Dragon Slaying magic and failed to stop herself from succumbing to the effects of its power, she should be the one feeling the need to clear the consequences of her sins by stopping/crushing Acnologia and ensuring a brighter future for the next generation.

Guess the Sting VS Larcade match up did come to pass. Fgures as both mages utilise light magic as their element, it was inevitable. Been waiting for this match up as well as Sting needs to prove his capabilities as a guild leader and make up for the failure he displayed when they were defeated earlier. Sting needs this battle to showcase just how strong Sabertooth really are and to prove to Yukino that he is worthy of her belief. Regarding Natsu, what exactly is the identity of the disturbance inside his body? Wasn’t it just the amalgamation of the dark energy inside him? Guess it is something more significant than I initially realised.

What an unexpected development yet one which holds a very logical basis behind it. The reason behind the Alvarez Empire desiring Lumen Histoire is all connected to Zeref and his currently unrevealed reason or reasons for desiring it. Zeref is currently the Emperor of Alvarez, an Empire which he created solely for the purpose of countering Acnologia. Since the Empires conception, Zeref has been preparing for the Dragon King Festival, a festival where Humans, the Dragon King and himself engage in battle to see who will be the ultimate victor. Within that festival of survival, I assume Zeref too plans for the whole situation to further pull Natsu towards his role as E.N.D. Ultimately, what Zeref desires is to be killed by E.N.D.

Fairy Tail Chapter 435-436 – Zeref And Natsu

Rather than Zeref becoming a villain, he found himself having to play such a role

The strangest things really do occur when you least expect it. Definitely was not expecting an in depth look into Zeref’s past and certainly not any information on Natsu’s origins, but it all makes sense now, how exactly Natsu connects in with Zeref. I now understand why Zeref is fond of Natsu and why Zeref has cast himself into the role of being the annihilator of all humans. Zeref may not desire such an outcome, but the end which can be brought about by such an outcome warrants the need to follow such a path. Zeref wishes to die, but is unable to, the contradictory curse governing him has forced him to walk a path he may not want in order to reach a result he truly desires. The duty Zeref speaks of is of being a villain evil enough so that it inspires a hero strong enough to end him to finally appear – Natsu.
