Just as the Night paves a way forward for the Dawn, Pedro has found himself on a path paving the way for the arrival of the inevitable changes to come. Despite the unknown it represents, he willingly placed his life on the line to ensure the ones he believed were the Avatars of that change continue on their journey towards ushering in the new Dawn. He had many reasons to despair and many chances to surrender to circumstance, but he continued to fight for the convictions he had and because of that unwavering resolve, an impossible escape has now transformed into an escape with a chance for the Straw Hat Pirates.

One Piece Chapter 873 – Big Mom’s Rage

I’m still surprised Big Mom hasn’t figured out how she got her Devil Fruit powers…

With the Straw Hat Pirates rapidly set upon by Big Mom, what can they do to escape the Island and her territory? Will they be able to outrun Big Mom? Will they fight? Will they somehow manage to quell Big Mom’s rampage? And even if they do, what will that change? Big Mom despises Luffy and other than a miracle stretched to its extreme’s, Big Mom and Luffy will continue to be at odds with one another, especially with them both vying for the title of Pirate King. Would the truth behind Mother Caramel’s disappearance affect that relation? I somehow doubt it given the focus the Big Mom Pirates have received as antagonist but what will be interesting is whether Big Mom will be exposed to the truth about Mother Caramel within this arc or in a future arc.

One Piece Chapter 831-835 – The Wonderment Of Wholecake Island

With the arrival of the Straw Hat Pirates (half) + extras on Wholecake Island, the mission to rescue Sanji and to retrieve an imprint of the Road Poneglyph has begun. Within the enemy territory and devoid of the element of stealth, the odds seem grossly stacked against Luffy and Co, especially now that they have encounter one of Big Mom’s daughters, Charlotte Brûlée’s, who possesses a dangerous ability, the Mira Mira no Mi. With Carrot entrapped in “Mirror World” and Chopper missing, Luffy and Nami will have to figure out fast how to deal with Brûlée and now Charlotte Cracker.
