I expected Speed to be featured in the current battle but not in the fashion that she was. For Luffy to use her as a horse to escape and for her to be made compliant through consuming Tama’s dango, how unexpected, yet how utterly characteristic of One Piece. Not only has Luffy robbed the fresh produce from the Beast Pirates and stolen the fresh water from them to give to the people but he has also embarrassed the Beast Pirates. Luffytaro has made himself a target and with him angering Jack, their meeting has become an inevitability.
The Ope Ope no Mi, the light of salvation at the end of the darkness gripping the very life of a young boy victim to the greed of minds unconcerned for any interest outside their own. A legendary Devil Fruit capable of performing “miracles” and the only solution available to Law for curing his Amber Lead Sickness. Rosinante, aware of the state Law is in and the lack of time available to him, resolves to go against both the Donquixote Pirates and the Marines, in order to secure the Ope Ope no Mi and save Law.
I had a feeling the Doflamingo which showed up at the end of the previous chapter was a string clone/puppet, it just seemed too early and unnatural for Doflamingo to show up in such a situation. With the Donquixote Pirates main members about to face off against the allies of the Strawhat Pirates, the climax of the arc does seem awfully close by. And with the flashback of Law being covered, the many questions raised through this arc are finally about to be answered, well some of them. I am curious to learn about the young Law and how he was “saved” by Corazon.
There he goes again, Doflamingo gives Luffy another reason for wanting to take him down. If the treatment of Rebecca by the country wasn’t enough, he went and showed Law getting shot right in front of Luffy. Law saved Luffy’s life and Luffy knows this, Luffy also knows Law is a good guy which is why he agreed on the alliance between the two. There is no way Luffy is leaving Dressrosa now without giving Doflamingo a serious beat down, just like he did with Crocodile and Hody. It is going to be satisfying seeing Doflamingo fall after painting himself such a bad guy.
What exactly is Law planning? What is with this sudden announcement of his ending his alliance with the Strawhats? What exactly happened with Law in the past and what were the events that led to the fallout between Law and Doflamingo? All these events and connections shrouded in mystery and shadows are really confusing me. Does Law really ONLY want to stop the production of Smile? For some reason, I don’t really believe him, while that may be a major objective of his, I still believe Law’s intention to become Pirate King.
Doflamingo, what a guy, what a mysterious and truly frightening man. Hahah so that’s what Vergo meant when he told Law not knowing Doflamingo’s past would come back to haunt him. It seems so obvious now in retrospect, but the thought that Doflamingo being linked to the Tenryuubito was totally outside my train of thought before the revelation, I can’t help but smile and say ‘well played Oda-sensei, well played’, it was a really amazing twist that has now excited me greatly.
I don’t even know where to start, so many developments have happened in a small period of time and my word are they good. I am so excited the crew headed to Dressrosa after Punk Hazard, I was hoping such a development would come about and it did, but hahah I did not expect the creative flare of the Island to be so creative – WALKING TOYS! Strawhats in disguises! And my goodness, is that a tournament I smell?! Oh yes please, I completely wasn’t expected such a twist and even though I had wondered what happened with Ace’s Mera Mera no Mi after he passed, this development came and twisted my socks right off. LET’S GO
Hahah, so we didn’t get to see who that mysterious character was at the end of the previous chapter this chapter…lol, the agony of wanting to know continues to grow =P, hopefully it is revealed next chapter O.o. Interesting chapter this one, so Luffy and Co. prolong their presence on Punk Hazard with a party, hahah, how typical Strawhat-style. Well now this give Doflamingo and that mysterious character time to make it to Punk Hazard (if they haven’t already) before Luffy and Co. leave.
Oh that smile at the end of the chapter; how terrifying, how twisted, how demented, how mesmerizing, how on edge…Doflamingo looks pissed and he is heading straight for Punk Hazard, what a surprisingly thrilling development. Looks like we will get to see some action from Doflamingo sooner than expected. And hahah wow, he appears to be flying/levitating/gliding across the ocean, wonder how he doing that (manipulating his weight or surrounding laws?) =/.
Indiscriminate to ages, the existence of time ticks by ever spectating the beginning and end of eras central to life. Like raging waves dissipating into non-existence, the end of one era sees the beginning of a new one raging behind it eager to take its place. The gears of an era existing to motion it in one direction eventually crumbles revealing new gears motioning the “times” in a completely new direction thus establishing a new age to lead people into.
