In the end the timer does reach 00:00, but as for the Faces activating across the continent, I wonder about that, they could have been stopped by the other groups of mages active trying to avoid the nullification of magic across the continent or Lumen Histoire could be used to counter the effects of the Magic Pulse Bombs. Regardless, you got to hand it to Kyouka, she gave it her all to make sure the timer ticked down and actually did succeed in buying enough time, though I do wonder if the Faces will really activate, after all they may be met with an Error 404 O.o.

What an unexpected flashback from Gajeel, to think there was something brooding within Gajeel’s heart and at the back of his mind. To acknowledge the void within his heart and to find a way to live his life in a meaningful manner, such thoughts over the years began to become more understandable and meaningful to Gajeel, that after his defeat to Natsu when he was in Phantom, Gajeel made the decision to change the way he lives his life. On top of that, the regret Gajeel feels at being unable to save the mother-figure in his life, one of the magic council members, Master Berno, must have hurt incredibly hard for him, especially when he really wanted to show her how he has changed and repay her for all her kindness and love.

Now we talking! Seeing Fairy Tail mages pushed to the extremes of their abilities is always exciting!

I was curious to see how Torsafusa and Tempesta would mount a counter attack on Natsu and Gajeel when they were so fired up, and it looks like Torafusa still had more to show after all. To be able to summon a massive body of water to cover such a large volume of space, that curse of Torafusa’s is quite something. Gajeel with the limited oxygen he has definitely has his work cut out for him but thanks to Levy, his life was saved allowing him to continue fighting.

What an ominous title for the beginning of the fifth part of the Tartarus arc – Extreme Pain. Will Fairy Tail really be alright against Tartarus and their plan to active several thousand Continental Magic Pulse Bombs (Face) simultaneously? Despite Fairy Tail being a match for Zeref’s demons and overcoming several of them already, what is this odd feeling that Mard Geer won’t completely fail by the end of this arc =/. Whom will end up feeling “extreme pain”? Does it have anything to do with Natsu and his relation to E.N.D? I am incredibly eager to find out how this exhilarating arc will conclude.

Fury overcomes him and with the monster of his nightmares standing before him, Gray throws it all away relinquishing the control over his suffering. With darkness entrapping Gray once again, who will be the one to seal away his “darkness” this time?

Well dam, that sure exploded in Fairy Tail’s face. Mard Geer is still kicking, Franmalth is still alive thanks to some unknown mushroom transformation, the Kyuukimon are still powerful and Face is anything but destroyed due to their being more than one Face – the Magic Council were such trolls. Looks like the answer to the threat FACING humanity lies in the form of Lumen Histoire, the “secret” locked away underneath Fairy Tail. At least now we know why Mard Geer was so confident the Face plan would be able to progress despite the initial Face going down. I wonder where Mard Geer is getting all this information from O.o.

How impressive it is that Lucy, while having the Celestial Spirit King summoned, was able to cast her most powerful magic to take out Jackal. Her actions these past few chapters has really showcased how reliable and resilient she can be, despite all the challenges she encountered, Lucy, with the aid of her beloved spirits, was able to scale those walls and illuminate the darkness with radiating light. The Celestial Spirit King’s Galaxia Blade directed the radiance of the stars onto the darkness imprisoning Fairy Tail, ultimately eroding it away and effectively saving Fairy Tail. With Alegria dispelled, it is time for the rest Fairy Tail to carry on what Wendy, Mira and Lucy gave their all to stop, that is Tartartus.

In a state of grief and sadness at the reality of losing one of her closest friends, Lucy, upon the realisation that there is still a role for her to play in saving the rest of nakama, pushes aside the dejecting pain and channels the power the Celestial Spirit King has bestowed upon her. Aquarius, despite having returned to the Celestial Spirit World, her power now surges inside Lucy and thanks to it, Lucy is able to materialise her resolve of wanting to save her nakama into action.

The Celestial Spirit of Water, Aquarius, through her love for Lucy and her desire to want to protect her, she sacrifices her Celestial Key in order to pay for the power Lucy desperately needs to save everyone, the power of a Celestial Spirit Mage.
