The Suns that power him, the people who saved him, the parents which love him...
Great chapters, especially chapter 544 – Naruto reveals the weight behind his resolve and determination and expresses just how much belief he has in himself thanks to his father and mother. You can tell Naruto has attained a harmonious balance in himself since meeting his father and mother (for the first time). Now that he understands how much love was surrounding him and how much faith they have put in him, he has begun to see and accept the role he must play. The role of savior, the role handed to him by the previous savior who left everything to Naruto. It’s heartwarming to see the overwhelming and overflowing love present between Naruto and his parents. They left him on a path filled with pain and suffering, but Naruto doesn’t blame them and isn’t angry at them, instead he understands their decision and realises the sacrifice they made for him. The love they have for him and the faith they put in him, that is all Naruto can see. Two Suns, Suns that shine on him and power him to go to any length to protect the things precious to him. A relationship so radiant, it’s moving…
It must have taken him lots of practice to get a face that "charming" when he smiles
It really is surprising how entertaining I’m finding this filler arc, it’s great. There is actual mystery, suspense, tension, direction and the action is engaging. I do find with Bleach, especially right now, that the Bleach anime > Bleach manga – I prefer the extra spin Studio Pierrot gives to Bleach. What I find the current manga arc lacks which this filler arc has is focus. I’m somewhat lost in what to think for the Lost Shinigami Representative arc, as Kubo is keeping everything in the shadows, making you question everything and not giving any hints or direction in which to cast your focus – who is the actual “bad guy” in the current arc and what is the story the arc is trying to tell? This filler arc makes it clear what the plot is and what direction it is taking – Kageroza is the villain and he plans to manipulate the space to bring everything under his control.
Determinded eyes and energized soul, Naruto races forward
What an amazing chapter. The skirmish between the Raikage and Naruto was great, but what truly made this chapter was the double page where Naruto stood up for his father and expressed with passion and anger that the Fourth Hokage did not fail!
Beneath solemn eyes, a whirlpool of emotion conflict with one another
…in more ways than one O.o.
This chapter wasn’t as good as the last chapter, but it had some interesting bits, though I still can’t believe Kubo is playing the patience game – still keeping the mystery Shinigami identity a mystery?! That Shinigami better surprise the socks off me!
Uzumaki Naruto - believing that he can and having the guts that he will, he heads forward to end this war.
How interesting, these recent chapters have been extremely cool. While the story of what Tobi exactly plans to do has been covered in bits here and there and has been progressing slowly this arc, I am quite content with Masashi Kishimoto’s pacing. The content of this Shinobi War arc has been of high quality. There may be certain characters some readers may not care about, but Kishimoto is handling them nicely. By Kishimoto concluding the stories of some of the secondary and tertiary characters, it may indicate that Kishimoto has started concluding the story of Naruto. If Naruto really is on its way to ending, Kishimoto may have already thought up the ending and is now spending time on constructing this Shinobi War into something memorable and fleshing out all or most of the characters in Naruto – it could explain why this arc feels like a lot of thought has been put into it. Though you never know, anything can happen, the manga may not end after this War O.o.
"The Defiant Shield of the Four Heavens" - Inoue Orihime burst forth with eyes wide open and her head held high.
…or beginning to anyway…
Oh wow, I’ll have to rate this one of the best chapter of this arc (Lost Shinigami Representative Arc) so far and it really got me interested in what else this arc has in store. The chapter may have began with stretching and dragging the suspenseful scene left from last chapter and it may have switched focus for the rest of the chapter but why am I not dissatisfied in the slightest? On the contrary, I’m extremely satisfied and excited right now.
