One Piece Chapter 1038 – Kid & Law VS Big Mom: Defiance

The Yonko are indeed the titans of the current age whom influence macro and micro decisions of varying factions existing across the Grand Line. When you have someone like Big Mom who destroyed one of the leaders of the Elbaf Giants as a child and continues to threaten the role of the Marines through her dealings with the Underworld and her pursuit of becoming Pirate King, it is little wonder why her name evokes terror whenever whispered. The longer Queen feels the need to prove himself a superior scientist over Judge through his battle against Sanji, the more inferior he appears. I honestly did not think there could be a character more insecure than Caesar but here we are. Queen has constantly gone out of his way to prove just how lesser he is to the peers he worked alongside in the past. Queen has been consumed by his own anxiety that the science he now pursues is but a shadow of someone else. Sanji will reign victorious and as Queen lies their in defeat, he will realise just how inferior his science is to Judge’s.

One Piece Chapter 1033 – Zoro VS King: Shimotsuki

Even beyond his limits Zoro is still challenging the boundaries of what lies even further. His sight is set on an end far outside his current position. King is without question the stronger fighter in the battle at present but there is an inherit capacity within Zoro to get stronger within moments of strife. The wall that lies ahead of Zoro is one he knows he needs to overcome lest he fails to fulfill the promise he made to Luffy, to Mihawk and to Kuina. With his resolve now tempered, there is only one last thing he can do. And that is to go all out. Unleash and leave nothing in reserve.

One Piece Chapter 1031 – Sanji VS Queen: One Man’s Heart

Whatever Sanji did during his blackout, he without a doubt didn’t harm a lady. Such a possibility is not only too obvious but it is grounded in a realm of improbability. Whatever happened to Sanji in the past, he never allowed harm to come to a lady in his presence, at least harm not paid back. There is a larger mystery in play beyond Sanji’s fears coming to reality. Not only has Sanji’s heart remained intact for all these years but his experimentation by Judge was varied from his siblings due to their mother, Sora. Whatever is going on with Sanji, it is different from what happened with Ichiji, Niji and Yonji.

One Piece Chapter 1029 – Killer VS Hawkins: Wheel Of Fortune

What seemingly appeared a hopeless situation with Killer backed into a corner turned into a moment of inspiration where Killer discovered an unforeseen weakness in Hawkin’s Straw Man ability. If nothing exist on the Straw Man target in the place the damage accorded, the injury suffered by Hawkins will not transfer over, rather it will be sustained by Hawkins himself. Using such a supposition, Killer created the path on which Hawkin’s defeat resided. Killer spun the wheel of fortune with his actions and achieved a turning point. Kid is now free from Hawkins’s ability and the pain that was consuming him. The collapse of the Yonko are now on the cards and a new way forward is a destiny awaiting all.

One Piece Chapter 1028 – Sanji VS Queen: Metamorphosis

Sanji’s body has undergone an internal transformation and unbeknownst to him, effects of Judge’s research have begun to bloom within him, a son Judge once thought a failure. Sanji’s fears are perceivable but the heart he has cultivated over the years will not be inconsequential in raising him up. Empathy and emotion won’t be rewritten by the power now imbuing his body. The change arising has become less Judge’s experiment and more a power now a part of Sanji. All Sanji needs to do is embrace the inevitable metamorphosis now taking place. The power is his and he can choose how to use it.

That chapter. My goodness that chapter. What an unbelievably incredibly electrifying read. I loved it. My body was not ready for how amped up it would now be. Ahhh, how glorious. The threads of the journey unfolding throughout the manga have now found themselves converging at a point tying together a new thread on which the path forward has been constructed. The satisfying nature of payoff is a magical experience in how something so consuming and defined can yet surprise the avenues of the mind when the moment is presented in the manner as it was in this chapter. Certain elements were expected but the way they aligned and cascaded alongside each other, such a feeling evoked is indescribable. One Piece Chapter 1022 – Zoro & Sanji VS King & Queen: Wings

The Wano Kuni Arc is building up as the representation of the Straw Hat Pirates message to the world. Once Kaido is defeated and Big Mom obstructed, the world will know in no uncertain terms that the Straw Hat Pirates have achieved what no one before them have. They challenged the Yonko and won. Ever since the great Pirate Age began and the Yonko were formed, none of them were completely defeated. Whitebeard died but he didn’t lose, not really. What Whitebeard set in motion will ultimately result in the downfall of the World Government. Luffy and the wings that support him will undoubtedly become the Pirates closest to the One Piece once Kaido is defeated and they acquires the third Road Poneglyph.

One Piece Chapter 1017 – Jinbe VS Who’s Who: Grudge

What an interesting revelation conveyed through Who’s Who’s circumstances at the end of the chapter. A former CP-9 agent that existed as a rival to Rob Lucci until the incident that led to the loss of the Gomu Gomu no Mi 12 years ago. Seemingly as Who’s Who was guarding the ship the Gomu Gomu no Mi was kept on, a pirate crew attacked (Red Haired Pirates) and made off with the fruit. Why did the Gomu Gomu no Mi need to be protected by the World Government and why was it so important that the failure to protect it led to Who’s Who’s imprisonment? It’s odd. Wasn’t the Gomu Gomu no Mi just a random Devil Fruit with seemingly no apparent overwhelming qualities? If that is not the case, does the true powers of the Gomu Gomu no Mi reveal itself when the fruit is awakened? Or was the fruit being guarded merely because Im had a vision or feeling that the Gomu Gomu no Mi would eventually lead to the World Governments downfall?
