It is starting to make much more sense now, the relationship between Jugram and Yhwach and the understanding the two share. It may be due to the uniqueness of Jugram that he found himself unable to fully connect with another person and as a result always found himself out-of-place despite being with a friend. However, the moment Yhwach appeared and expressed an understanding of what Jugram was going through and felt, Jugram found himself instantly drawn to that understanding and connection. Through the similarity of the uniqueness they share, they have come to understand each other, and in particular for Jugram, he has found a place to exist – next to Yhwach.

Why does Yhwach need to have his being separated into two halves?

What a peculiar development, Jugram is the “other half” of Yhwach? What exactly is Yhwach and why does his very existence deviant from the “norm” everybody else embody? How did Yhwach go about creating a whole new branch of humanity and what are the origins of Yhwach? The very fact that Yhwach is such a unique creation leaves me incredibly curious. I get that Yhwach is the son of the Soul King, but what exactly is the Soul King? The Shinigami needed the Soul King’s existence to stabilize the dimensions from crumbling, but why in the first place did they need such an existence? Surely before the Soul King came into existence, the worlds held together fine, so what drove the Shinigami to requiring an entity like the Soul King to be the part which holds the worlds together?

Does Yhwach really want to be recognised as a God?

Haschwalth’s dedication to Yhwach is almost admirable if not totally suspicious and extreme for how passionate he is about everything Yhwach does. I mean, Yhwach could raise a finger and Haschwalth would be there commenting on how glorious Yhwach beckoned the air to move around his finger. All that preaching about the birth of “New World” originating from their redesigned castle only adds to the crazy I am feeling from the Sternritter, well the one’s left in Yhwach’s employ. Incredibly glad Grimmjow kick-started the counter-attack and refused waiting any longer to engage the Sternritter. Will be interesting to how the few Sternritter are dealt with by the many protagonist in this arc.

Hope to finally see the main characters actually feature in a battle!

Looks like Juhabach really does plan to create a world of his shaping once he has done destroying it. I was curious to see what exactly Juhabach’s end goal was and it turns out it was more than just killing the Soul King. Juhabach didn’t just want to destroy the Gotei 13 for what they had done to Quincy a thousand years ago, but he is seeking to completely consume the very world they have created. Juhabach seeks to attain his revenge by replacing the world of the Shinigami by a world of his creation. The Gotei 13 currently represent the “Gods” of the world, but Juhabach plans on creating a world in which the Quincy represent the “Gods”.

What will become of Ichigo?

I have no idea what Ichibei is even hinting at or what sort of intention he has sending Ichigo to meet Juhabach. I was hoping in this chapter we would get to learn what Ichibei meant when he said humans could not defeat Juhabach with their abilities, but unfortunately we will have to wait a bit longer to find out the truth about what Juhabach is after and the intentions of the Shinigami. Kisuke appears to have almost completed his preparations, so hopefully in the next chapter we see him finally send everyone to the Soul King Palace.

Ichibei unleashes on Yhwach

Of course Yhwach had the ability to restore his power back to normal…What other counters does Yhwach have up his sleeve which he plans to use right after an ability affects him? The fight he is going to have with Ichigo should be quite interesting indeed. Anyway, I was impressed by Ichibei this chapter, I was expecting him to be completely overwhelmed by Yhwach, but it turns out he is actually putting up on decent fight and has Yhwach overwhelmed for the moment. The gleeful Ichibei sure can be frightening when he has an opponent entirely disrespectful of the standards he abides by. Will be fascinating to see how Yhwach ends up overcoming Ichibei, if he does that is.

Seeing Yhwach so surprised by Ichibei’s attack was quite pleasant, too bad Yhwach isn’t destined to be defeated until Ichigo appears and does so…

I’ve been wondering how Aizen will end up being used in this final arc and it seems Kyouraku heading to Central 46 is heavily implying that he intends to have Aizen freed or at least temporarily aid in the defense against the Sternritter invasion on the Soul King Palace. It should be interesting to see what Aizen ends up doing when he is told that Yhwach is on his way to annihilate the Soul King. Despite Ichibei standing against Yhwach and holding him off, it is inevitable that Ichibei won’t end up stopping Yhwach. But thankfully, his efforts are buying Ichigo valuable time to arrive at the Soul King Palace.

Yhwach is smarter than I gave him credit for, to use the opening Ichigo created to invade the Soul King’s Palace, it is quite the shrewd plan. In the first place, for Yhwach to even know about the weakness in the barriers protecting the Soul King’s Palace, how did he end up coming across such information? Yhwach even knows the length of the opening he has to invade =/. If nothing else, he is well-informed. But all that planning crumbled into ashes when he told Ichigo EXACTLY what he was planning. Was there even a need for Yhwach to tell Ichigo his plan to invade the Soul King’s Palace? That decision may come back to burn Yhwach brutally later.

Ichigo sure has become popular, for eight Sternritter to have ganged up on him, what a lucky guy he is. It may just be time for him to unleash and put those Sternritter in their place for good – I wonder if Ichigo will be forced to go Bankai or whether he will take all those Sternritter on with his Shikai. I suppose another possibility could be the fight being interrupted by the arrival of other characters – Renji, Rukia and Byakuya? Either way with Yhwach up to something, Ichigo will have to get a move on.

What a shame, I was hoping to see Candice, Liltotto, Meninas, and Giselle in a more evenly matched battle, but with them now going against Ichigo, I doubt we will get to see them highlighted much more =(. It was though refreshing to see some Quincy use a bow for a change, it has been so long since a Quincy last wielded one. Amusing that the four female Sternritter believe they can take Ichigo on even though they realise he is the head of the special war powers. It won’t be too long before they begin they rectify their thought process with Ichigo drawing Zangetsu.
