After the struggles faced by the Straw Hat Pirates and the Samurai Rebellion, they have finally defeated the Calamity Officers of the Beast Pirates. Sanji’s barrage of attacks have taken out Queen and within the same breathe, Zoro has navigated through King’s abilities and unleashed to overwhelm him. The right and left hands of the Pirate King contenders have faced each other and the ones reigning victorious are those of the Straw Hat Pirates.

When you think about how the relationship between Monet and Caesar began it starts to become curious when exactly it did commence. The story implies Monet joined Caesar after he escaped the Marines and returned to Punk Hazard but when you look deeper into that narration, certain discrepancies arise. Would it not be odd if after escaping the Marines and fleeing back to Punk Hazard a year later a stranger Caesar has never met before arrived on an Island that should not exist housing the government’s former secret research facility and requested to work for him? Regardless of Caesar’s twisted nature, he is still a genius and would immediately be suspect of such a person if not kill them on the spot. It is just suspicious. Such a narration really doesn’t add up when looking at the relationship Monet and Caesar shared throughout the Punk Hazard Arc.

Whatever mechanisations were ongoing within the New World, Doflamingo before his fall had his hand turning it. And even now, bound by chains of seastone and locked away on the sixth level of Impel Down, Doflamingo still holds relevance within the events unfolding in the story due to the gaping void left by his departure as Joker. But prior to his defeat, the instruments enabling him to hold such a position were the operatives of his family allowing access to key information necessary for critical decision-making. And among the officers Doflamingo employed, one of his most valuable was the undercover agent Monet.

From the very start of Kaido’s introduction, we have known that he has been defeated as a pirate seven times, been captured by the Navy or his enemies around 18 times and has lived as a prisoner before. Kaido was tortured over a thousand times and was sentenced to death forty times and yet nothing done to him was able to kill him. From that introduction, we can surmise that Kaido was in his enemies hand’s for a significant amount of time. What we have yet to have revealed beyond why Kaido is so “unkillable” is where and when exactly he was held as a prisoner and by whom. When looking at what has been featured so far across the story since Kaido’s arrival onto the pages, I find myself compelled to believe that at one point in Kaido past, over 33 years ago, he was held as a prisoner on Punk Hazard and experimented on.

Can the past of Nami and Robin help to predict who a potential female nakama could be?
They are only two female characters currently in the Straw Hat Pirates, so it may be hard to try to predict what qualities another female character would need to possess to potentially become a Straw Hat member, but even with two we can still try to dissect some notable consistencies or similarities that may help in identifying a female character that could have potential in becoming the next female to join the Straw Hat Pirates.
The Strawhat Pirates take a break in the snow
Throughout One Piece Luffy has come across many things which excite and mesmerize him, some of which he has repeatedly mentioned wanting. For the most part, he has gotten what he wants, such as a navigator, a cook, a doctor, beams, a robot, a skeleton, a musician. But there are still two things Luffy currently doesn’t have which he has repeatedly shown excitement for throughout the One Piece manga (well three if you include meat when it runs out). Those two things are a giant [bronze] statue and snow.
What adventures await the Straw Hat Pirates in the New World?
If Monet really is an astronomer, we may very well get an arc/saga centered around the moons and space in the future. How exciting would it be to see the Straw Hat Pirates sail across the “Black Sea” towards one of the moons of the One Piece world?
The fact that Oda had revealed in the Enel’s Great Space Operation cover story that there are Space Pirates and Space Pirate ships within the One Piece universe, the possibility of space being sailed upon does exist. Since a precedent has been set, it is possible for the Straw Hat Pirates to “sail” in space like the Space Pirates do.
I am still curious as to why Luffy didn’t want to fight seriously against Monet
I believe Monet is currently heading towards Dressrosa, but there are some other events which I believe took place during the time on Punk Hazard that will force Monet to interact with the Straw Hat Pirates again.
With there being evidence that Monet’s heart may not have been fully stabbed and still beating, one begins to wonder whatever happened to it while it was still at the harbor of Punk Hazard?
There is so much mystery surrounding Monet…
Given the way Monet was prepared to sacrifice herself for her captain, there is certainly a deep level of loyalty between Monet and Doflamingo. But what exactly founded such a loyalty and what keeps Monet maintaining such a loyalty towards Doflamingo?
What does Monet really mean with that statement?
I honestly don’t think Monet is evil, she may have helped Caesar during his experiments, but she was only carrying out the orders she was given by her captain and ultimately Monet was never shown to kill anyone. Her actions were conveyed as being incredibly ambiguous by Oda, and I have been wondering, why exactly would Oda do such a thing?
