Naruto Chapter 691 – The End Of The War

So it seems official, the fourth Shinobi War has ended. With the congratulations and emotional farewells taking place this chapter, it seems hard for Kishimoto-sensei to twist it into a new development of an antagonist returning or a new one appearing, especially after the thoughtful message Naruto left with his dad to pass on to his mother. The mirroring against Kushina’s message to Naruto in chapter 504 was fantastic, Kushina is so going to bawl her eyes dry when she hears what Naruto wants to tell her – what an awesome family.

Naruto Chapter 679 – Kaguya’s Return

Out of the pot and into the fire, what an extreme development. Madara himself was powerful enough, but now we have Kaguya who has taken over Madara’s body and chakra and transformed it into her original form. Whatever jutsu she used goes beyond even what the Edo Tensei is capable of, to carry out a complete resurrection like that, how outrageous. And what’s even more shocking is the fact that she is able to contain chakra within her body that exceeds the amount which even the Juubi holds. Just how powerful is Kaguya and why does she need an army of White Zetsu? What does she plan to battle against?

Well dam, how many more twist can there be within this arc before it ends, because I really was not expecting Kaguya to pop up. Out of no where, a new element has been thrown into the conflict between Ashura and Indra, and this time it is their grandmother, Kaguya. To think the Infinite Tsukiyomi was just a set-up for Kaguya to entrap the people of the world to the Shinju. Despite Madara’s intentions of wanting to create a “peaceful” world or at least the illusion of one, Kaguya has other ideas and people happiness and the illusion of “Heaven” is far from what she is intending. Given that we know that Kaguya was twisted by the powers she wielded once she consumed the Shinju fruit, it is safe to say that with her return, things do not look good.

Naruto Chapter 677 – The Gaze Of The Moon

Kaguya’s twisted plan has finally come to pass, what exactly did she have in mind when she created such a jutsu?

So it has finally happened, Madara has activated the Infinite Tsukiyomi and with it he has entrapped all of the worlds population inside a genjutsu save for the Edo Tensei Hokages, Sasuke, Naruto, Sakura and Kakashi. I also have a suspicion that Tenten may have also avoided falling under the Infinite Tsukiyomi’s genjutsu. With the Treasured Tools of the Rikudou Sennin becoming a necessary element in Madara’s demise, Tenten will have to find a way to utilise the tools or at least deliver it to someone who can use it.

Naruto Chapter 676 – Team 7 VS Madara

There is still time for Sakura to get a moment to shine, hopefully Kishimoto-sensei manages to make it happen

I was wondering if Kishimoto-sensei would take on the challenge of focusing on Sakura and have her join in on the fight against Madara as she still boast an incredible level of strength and it seems that there is still some hope that Sakura may in fact still prove useful battle-wise within the story. Having Sakura unleash her Byakugou no Jutsu and charge straight for Madara was a badass development, and even though it may not have been a smart move given that she knows nothing about how the Rinnegan functions in Madara, it was still great to see Sakura take the initiative and have something still up her sleeve. The battle progressed by fading Sakura into the background as Naruto and Sasuke became the focus, but hopefully as Sakura deduces what is going on she will be able to lend her strength in helping the two of them stop Madara.

Madara, the cause of Rin’s suffering…

I don’t get Madara, he is inciting war, conflict, and hatred just so he can “end” it? Does he seriously think the end he seeks justifies the methods and his actions towards reaching it? And the “actual end” that he does seek in an artificially empty one which robs people of the very thing that Madara himself is trying to reach – “life”. I am continually finding myself overwhelmed by the absurdity of the way several Uchiha members think. Rather than helping to solve the problem Madara is just multiplying it with his delusion that he himself is the savior of the world. Madara is just a propagator of conflict.

Naruto Chapter 674 – Naruto And Sasuke VS Madara II

So we finally learn what “Limbo” is…some sort of ability that allows Madara to separate himself into two forms, one capable of being seen and the other only able to be seen by the Rinnegan and felt by Sage/Bijuu Mode. It was an interesting chapter seeing Sasuke get used to his Rinnegan and analysing Madara’s abilities in order to derive a strategy Naruto and he can use to get a hit in. The end of the chapter was a shock though, did not expect Kakashi to be targeted, but in hindsight, it makes sense.

Naruto Chapter 673 – Naruto And Sasuke VS Madara

What an epic chapter. After the past few chapters of having this fight built up so immensely, the culmination of those developments really did manifest in a sensational manner. Both Naruto and Sasuke in their ascended forms standing against Madara who has now absorbed the Shinju inside him, as Obito had previously done, thus becoming the new Juubi Jinchuuriki. What is interesting though is the voice Madara heard from the Shinju and the new powers Naruto and Sasuke possess. This final battle for the world really is shaping up to be one exciting climax of the manga.
