Within the madness of hunger overwhelming the Dragon Eaters is a misery defining the consumed Dragon’s soul which perpetually eats away at the silence of ones mind. The flesh consumed carries with it the magic power of the Dragon but when the hosting form represents an imbalanced human body, the resulting magic merging with the form creates an instability and conflict abrasively clashing the mind with the stolen power. These echoes of vengeance continuously terrorize the host forcing the remedy of locking away the soul within a box to lighten the erosion of mental constancy. Kirin came to dread the whispers of wrath whereas over the course of destruction, defeat, regret and renewal, Laxus learned to envelop the crackling temptation of power with the thunderous symphony of his own reformed lightning.Continue reading
As the chaos unfolds on the surface with Natsu and Suzaku engaging Dogramag, within the confines of the labyrinth remain Laxus and Kirin who conflict on the representation of Thunder’s avatar. Both Laxus and Kirin have a connection to the Thunder Dragon King, Exelion. Kirin consumed the Dragon and Laxus had the Dragon’s heart inserted inside his body once the heart was processed into a Lacrima. What a fascinating revelation concerning the Dragon Lacrima. I always thought the Dragon Slayer Lacrima were a concentration of magic imbued with Dragon magic or magic that associates closely with it. I was not anticipating the Dragon Lacrima to be sourced from an actual Dragon heart. It makes so much sense now why more Dragon Slayers weren’t created via the lacrima method. The resource required to birth a new Dragon Slayer via a lacrima required a Dragon heart which is a grossly finite resource.Continue reading
Strength is such a variable concept as no matter how overwhelming it becomes, there can arise a seemingly inconsequential attribute that serves to completely dismantle the power that initially appeared infallible. This is the form Kiria’s Dragon Slayer magic takes. On face value, it doesn’t appear to be as immense as other magics but the fascinating aspect of Kiria’s abilities is how it can distort both the magical and psychological aspect of the target. What Kiria cuts when she attacks is the hostility directed towards her that is entrenched within the individual. Which in turn establishes the obedience that she exploits. Kiria did it with Erza before and now with Laxus. Amusingly, it does seem set-up that Lucy will take the role Kiria played during her battle against Erza and Laxus in regards to overwhelming them with her magic. Lucy will utilise a magic that will in the end dismantle Kiria’s strength.Continue reading
Compassionate, courageous and completely inspiring; Wendy continues to convey the endless extents of her potential through the application of magics that reaches beyond the levels of just Enchanter. Wendy has taken Irene’s lessons to heart and conditioned her mind, body and spirit to resonate with the types of magics Irene is capable of casting which consequently has allowed her to begin accessing High Enchantment level techniques. Without relying on Irene’s magic, Wendy was able to draw out power capable of trapping and defeating a Dark Dragon Slayer. Irene has noticed this and being a High Enchanter herself, understands when another has achieved such a level. Wendy has grown and through such a journey, Irene herself in beginning to change as well.Continue reading
There are few mages that can challenge Laxus when it comes to single combat, so I was curious to see how far Kirin would be able to push Laxus beyond his usual capabilities. Kirin was able to catch Laxus off guard with his unique type of Atmosphere magic to the point where he felt confident enough to reveal to Laxus how his magic functions. In Kirin’s mind, he wrote Laxus off and believed he wouldn’t be able to counter his magic. Expectantly though, Laxus was able to use the environment to his advantage to channel his lighting through which included taking advantage of the properties of his Red Lightning Dragon Mode. Curiously though, while Kirin was overwhelmed, he revealed that it was time he got serious? Is this merely smoke or does Kirin truly have a larger power he has been holding back for moments like this? I truly hope Kirin gets seriously push Laxus.Continue reading
With the labyrinth now possessing a sentience, one does begin to wonder why Dogramag chose to evoke the form of a labyrinth from their remaining spirit when defeated by Elefseria. What does the labyrinth serve and why even embody such a construct in the first place? Does Dogramag seek to protect something? Or are the intentions they possess all but noise with their life having been sealed in the past? But if they were truly killed, would it ultimately matter if they failed in protecting whatever they are protecting? Something definitely is in play with the Labyrinth and I suspect due to Dogramag being the weakest of the Six Dragon Gods, they bridged any gap in power that existed with moments of cunning.Continue reading
Completely oblivious to the events taking place, Natsu and Gray continue their misguided feud. While there is a ‘reason’ for the two of them to oppose each other, there is an overwhelming counter argument for why the two shouldn’t have even entertained the thought of fighting each other at this point in time i.e. there is war ongoing with Fairy Tail at the center. Fortunately, their imprudent battle has been interrupted and through this intervention, they will be reminded of the meaning of Fairy Tail.
Just when Fairy Tail find themselves with their backs against the wall, Laxus arrives with an electrifying entrance to tear it down blasting the arrogance of the Spriggan Twelve members back into their face. If the Alvarez Empire thought taking down Ishgar would be easy, clearly they have not crossed paths with a Fairy Tail mage before. With Laxus up to the challenge of silencing the hollow taunts of the Spriggan Twelve and matching their overwhelming power with his own magic, the battle between the two lands has just begun! Ishgar VS Alvarez. Fairy Tail VS The Spriggan Twelve.
Hahah, I actually didn’t think about the issue of the odd number teams in the battle rounds. I was so engrossed and captivated by all that came before the Raven Tail disqualification that that thought failed to cross my mind =P. Still what an awesome chapter, I loved Fairy Tail’s attitude and readiness for the fight Sabertooth is attempting to bring – nice one Sabertooth, you’ve pissed off the wrong people…
Compelled by each other and supported by one another, the collective hearts of Fairy Tail grasp today and embrace tomorrow. Through the air of mystery and the echoes of adventure, they pursue the answers and enduring the times with their lives on the line and courage in their hearts, they rush towards the radiating light in search of change and the feeling of life.
