The mystery behind King’s appearance is starting to unravel and inevitably the form of such an enigma will be unmasked. What will Zoro witness when he accomplishes such an act and will the image before him resonate with a figure he knows? Or will the image of a Lunarian beckon more questions than answers? What is clear is that Zoro is beyond his limits and King has suffered a blow unknown to him. Both combatants look to end the battle without delay and through such fury their battle has led them to the surrounding land outside the Onigashima skull dome. Both are now free to unleash.Continue reading
With the revelation of the Lunarian people and their ability to burst into flames, the Rocks Pirates Jolly Roger has me wondering, was Xebec D. Rocks a member of the Lunarian race? Or did he take an interest in them? The Jolly Roger representing the Rocks Pirates (and Rocks in particular) is that of a red skull that appears to be flaming. Why such imagery? With the knowledge of the Lunarian people and what they could do, that imagery can be interpreted in a curious context, one that see Rocks connected to the Lunarian people. Is this why Rocks was so interested in the secrets of the world and becoming King of it? Because he felt the status his people once held was robbed from them?Continue reading
Ever since King’s introduction I have wondered how Kaido came across him. How did the two meet and was King the only Lunarian member Kaido encountered? When Yamato was introduced, I wondered if Yamato’s mother was part of the same race as King. There isn’t anything definitive to suggest so but with every chapter than elapses with Yamato’s mother omitted, I grow ever curious wondering if her role within the story is being saved for a major reveal. If there was a faction that would have another Lunarian member existing within it, it would be the Beast Pirates. King is likely not the sole survivor of the race. Yamato’s mother may not be important or she may be incredibly important. What is certain is that there existed a person intimate with Kaido and Yamato that existed. She does not have to be mentioned for the audience to be aware that Yamato had a mother and Kaido a partner. The foreshadowing exist naturally with the potential to track forward in a myriad of directions.Continue reading
Long ago in the past, there existed people who lived atop the Red Line that could generate flames from their body. After certain events occurred, these people were ‘lost in the mists of time’ and currently the only member of this race shown is King the Wildfire. Taking into account what we know about this race, we can extrapolate a few pieces of information about this race: they weren’t on friendly terms with the Tenryuubito and due to likely not wanting to give up their home, they were targeted and brought to the edge of extinction. Few may have escaped by abandoning their home but they lost to what is now the World Government. Marijoa may also have been the location of this races homeland. Like other shadows the World Government wishes to hide, they buried knowledge of such a race in the darkness of time, omitting them from the history they wish known.Continue reading
The Wano Kuni Arc is building up as the representation of the Straw Hat Pirates message to the world. Once Kaido is defeated and Big Mom obstructed, the world will know in no uncertain terms that the Straw Hat Pirates have achieved what no one before them have. They challenged the Yonko and won. Ever since the great Pirate Age began and the Yonko were formed, none of them were completely defeated. Whitebeard died but he didn’t lose, not really. What Whitebeard set in motion will ultimately result in the downfall of the World Government. Luffy and the wings that support him will undoubtedly become the Pirates closest to the One Piece once Kaido is defeated and they acquires the third Road Poneglyph.Continue reading
A friendship twisted by unfortunate and tragic circumstances and a fate conflicted by emotion. King and Helbram, a bond of brotherhood divided by the cruelty of man and their insatiable curiosity. Each behind their individual reasons now stand against each other to express the depths of their regret onto the other. Torn asunder from the love he once embraced humans with, betrayal and torment now drive Helbram to extinguish all that he once loved. And King, with repentance weighing heavy on him, moves forward to end the suffering of his best friend. In the end, the totality of the circumstances erupt into sorrow and sadness.
Ever since King and Helbram encountered each other in Byzel, I have been wondering what the relationship between those two actually was, especially for King not to go serious against Helbram back in Byzel, but it turns out that they have an incredibly deep past extending way back to an incident 700 years ago where King made a promise to Helbram. Now I have begun to wonder what exactly that promise was. I honestly was not expecting this from Helbram as I didn’t really peg him as being a much of a major character but it turns out he is more important to the plot than I had initially surmised.
What exactly did Gowther see inside Dreyfus? What was that shadow? Does this mean that Dreyfus has been manipulated by a darker power all this time? Ah, so many questions with so little answers being given this chapter, yet the intensity turned up at the end with Helbram grossly wounding Diane and King arriving to stop him from dealing the finishing blow. Hopefully Diane will survive, but I wonder if this will cause King to go over the edge and get serious with Helbram unlike their previous encounter, especially considering that Helbram is a cunning opponent with a dangerous ability.
