What a turn of events, I was completely wrong about Gilthunder’s perception concerning the conspiracy that had taken place within the Kingdom of Liones. I had thought Gilthunder was just being pulled along by his foolishness and ignorance, yet that was shockingly incorrect, more than any other Holy Knight, Gilthunder knew what was going on within the Kingdom. Forced to follow along with Hendricksen’s plot to create an era requiring the Holy Knights, he not only fooled the Holy Knights but the readers as well. My perception of Gilthunder has drastically altered after this twist, to be able to endure the burning desire for revenge for ten years and follow the orders of the man responsible for his father’s death, what patience and resolve Gilthunder.

Nanatsu No Taizai Chapter 78-79 – The Dragon’s Sin Of Wrath

I am really curious about the origins of Melodias’s demon powers

That was a bit surprising, for Melodias to be someone targeted by the “Goddess Clan” whom see him as a threat to the harmony of the four clans, it seems suspiciously shady on so many different levels. Firstly, the voice Ban and Hawk are hearing, does it really belong to a member of the Goddess Clan? Hell knowing the Holy Knights, I wouldn’t be surprised if they set Ban up and are pulling his strings to force him in conflict against his captain, Melodias. Still, I guess since Melodias does have demon power, the clans whom once stood against and defeated the Demon Clan are worried about the threat the Demon Clan poses. But wanting to slay Melodias seems incredibly odd, they should be more concerned with Hendricksen, unless of course the demon power inside Melodias isn’t something that Melodias’s human self can control completely and the danger of it overwhelming Melodias is the driving force behind the Goddess Clans request.

Nanatsu No Taizai Chapter 66-68 – The Reasons For Why They Fight

What an epic moment, got to love Geera and Hauser now

This arc has become one of the most exciting and climatic moments in Nanatsu no Taizai, I’m absolutely loving it! I had expected Diane to be pushed back while taking on 6 Holy Knights, but I also expected King to show up to back her up, which didn’t happen as Oslo fainted. What did happen though surprised me quite a bit yet excited me immensely. It was made apparent in previous chapters that Hauser didn’t want to hurt Diane and that Geera was growing suspicious of Helbram’s actions, but to think that those two would be forced to reevaluate the current path they are on against their beliefs, I was shocked. The “Holy Knights” had generally throughout the manga displayed themselves as being superficial protectors of justice, but finally those Holy Knight that do follow the path of protecting the people of the kingdom are finally beginning to see the tainted visage the “Holy Knights” now embody.

Nanatsu No Taizai Chapter 65 – Hendricksen vs Arthur

Hendricksen vs Arthur, how will the fight conclude?

Well that was a bit unexpected, so Hendricken attempted to have Arthus “assassinated” during the walk to the castle. I was half-expecting Melodias and Arthur to end up clashing with each other during this arc, but with this development, things have got a lot more interesting. The Hendricksen vs Arthur match-up is quite the treat, I was wondering how strong Arthur was and I guess he may just tease us with his capabilities in this battle before it is interrupted – by Melodias and Co.? That hooded character traveling with Arthus, I am curious to learn who exactly they are and their purpose of traveling with Arthur. Diane showing up at the end of the chapter in the underground section of Merlin’s Research Facility was a surprising twist, looks like Diane and King will be the first of the Seven Deadly Sins to battle this arc =D.

What are you planning Arthur?

Going to be interesting to see what happens with Arthur when he meets Melodias, would the two end up enemies or allies? But before that, the three sins are pretty much devastating the Holy Knights challenging them, especially when Gowther stepped up and provided an answer to efficiently disposing of the Holy Knights coming at them – that memory rewrite, hilarious. I’m excited to see what happens when Jericho, Geera, Gilthunder, Hauser, Dreyfus, and Helbram encounter the Seven Sins.

Nanatsu No Taizai Chapter 63 – The King Of Camelot

The army of illusion, well played Arthur

That was unexpected, so the whole army of Arthur’s was an illusion created by that hooded character, interesting…that hooded character really is dangerous. To think just two people fooled the whole of the Holy Knights, including Hendricksen, who thinks of himself as someone quite smart. Hopefully Arthur is the card able to scrap all the plans Hendricksen has for reviving the Demon Clan, but I have this apprehensive feeling that Arthur and Melodias will fight one another. At the very least, I hope Arthur comes to understand a bit about Melodias through their fight if they do battle.
