Edens Zero Chapter 175 – Feather VS Connor: Divergence

Within the shadow of Connor’s feats also existed Feather’s capabilities. Connor may have been able to evade the Racer division and navigate through the asteroid field expertly but what Feather achieved was just as impression. Accelerating through the asteroid field at greater speeds than the Edens Zero, Feather too was able to navigate the dangers of region as if they were non-existent. Even if enhanced by her Ether Gear, what Feather displayed was an in depth understanding of her abilities and how it can be leveraged to achieve phenomenal actions. If not for the fast travel, Feather would have likely disabled and caught the Edens Zero.

Edens Zero Chapter 174 – Feather: Meeting Shiki

The mechanics behind the Eye of God power leaves much mystery in it’s wake. How does it function? How does it analyse information? And how does it assist in constructing a path forward for the user? It’s natural operation seems straight forward – it receives information and uses that to predict the future. When defining the type of information it uses in its analysis, it becomes incredibly more fascinating – what form does that information take? Does the Eye of God power act on general information or specific? It likely overlaps between the two with seemingly more emphasis to the general interpretation based on the overarching nature of the power. The fact that Shiki was able to escape Feather’s “sight” implies the rigidity in its interpretation. A reasonable person may have behaved in the manner Feather predicted but after her meeting with Shiki, she now knows that Shiki isn’t someone ordinary. Feather’s Eye of God power going forward will continue to stumble when attempting to predict Shiki’s next action.

Edens Zero Chapter 173 – Feather: Eye Of God

As the Edens Zero prepares to assault the planet Lendard, they first take a detour to Blue Garden in order to drop off Connor at the Adventurer’s Guild – Shooting Starlight. In addition to meeting Noah, they also find themselves targeted by the Interstellar Union Army, specifically, Feather of the Oración Seis Interstellar. Just like Noah, she possess the Eye of God Ether Gear that has the ability to observe the locations of people through both space and time. Unlike Noah though, Feather has seemingly kept the information of Rebecca’s abnormal positioning to herself. Neither the Oración Seis Interstellar or the Interstellar Union army are aware of the abilities Rebecca possesses. Why is this the case?

Feather has rarely been featured within the manga but after the comment Holy expressed in regards to Feather’s change in behaviour in chapter 168, I find the potential she possesses to be very curious. Holy was surprised that Feather was talking during their meeting which suggest that usually Feather keeps quiet and doesn’t say much, if anything at all. This behaviour leads one to question what caused Feather to speak and why? Was it merely to state that Elsie Crimson isn’t as significant a threat as the other Oracion Seis Galactica? Such a mention of something already known seems odd and inconsequential when the whole of the Oracion Seis Interstellar save Justice are already aware that Elsie should only be focused on AFTER the rest of the Oracion Seis Galactica members are dealt with. So then why did Feather speak? What changed in her?
