With Juhabach absorbing the Soul King, it seems he has inherited the purpose the Soul King’s existence embodied, which is serving as the being holding the universes in balance. With his newly attained power, Juhabach seeks to remake the world to his vision and desires, a world devoid of the reality the current one operates by. The obvious effect of Juhabach inheriting the Soul King’s power is the consequence that will result when he is defeated, that being the collapse of the balance of the universes once a being tying them all together is removed. It seems likely that with the defeat of Juhabach, a new character will become the Soul King (Ichigo).
Interesting, so zombifying a person right before their death heightens the subjects movements and reactions, it also removes all traces of free will and consciousness. Looks Zombie Toushirou is going to be quite the challenge for Mayuri to handle, but given Mayuri’s “colourful” and mad personality, this battle is set-up to be quite an exciting one. Should be interesting to see what “drugs” Mayuri utilises in his battle against Toushirou and whether he can nullify the zombification done to Toushirou.
What a pleasant turn of events to see Arrancar in the spotlight for a change, especially being featured in battles. It has been a while since we seen an Arrancar unleash, and frankly, I have been waiting for this, hopefully now, we get some other Arrancar members featured in battles this arc. Mayuri is such a sinisterly glorious fellow, to be able to revive Arrancar and even find a way to subjugate them to do his bidding or at least manipulate them to want to do his bidding =P. A shrewd and dangerous existence Mayuri is indeed. I look forward to seeing how Mayuri is going to deal with Giselle and her “zombies”.
What a satisfyingly glorious chapter. Mayuri just knows how to bring the classy to weird and dam does he get down to business fast. That swagger he brings with his superiority complex can be ridiculously enjoyable to witness at times. His personality just like his outfit outshines all others. As for Giselle and Bambietta, I find myself quite disturbed by the implied context of their exchange concerning Bambietta’s “needs”. Thankfully though Mayuri was there to sanitize the situation with his scientific grandeur and sheer madness.
Urahara Kisuke, what a guy, reaching a solution to the crushing blow of Bankai’s becoming useless against the Quincy and completing turning the tables on those having stolen the Bankai. I had deduced beforehand that the reason Ichigo’s Bankai wasn’t able to be stolen was because of the Hollow presence as it was something the Quincy didn’t meld with properly but I didn’t attribute the very foundations of why as the Hollow essence being like poison to the Quincy. Those instinctual reactions existing within the Quincy towards Hollows may very well be the thing that crushes then now.
Well well, so The Thousand-Year Blood War Arc begins, an interesting set-up so far – Hollows are disappearing at a rapid rate which will cause problems for the barrier between the Human World and Soul Society if nothing is down to stop the disappearances. The imbalance caused by the greater amount of souls existing in the Human World will start to cause Soul Society to spill into the Human World effectively mixing life and death.
