
Faced with an impossible choice and armed with knowledge of how situations can proceed if a bad choice is made such as the time Shiki recalled being killed by Drakken Joe, it is understandable why in this moment, Shiki came to the conclusion that the risk attached to stopping the bombs was too great to commit himself toward. The information on hand lacked a level of certainty that a thread of confidence could be attached to. Gazing at the endless horizon of uncertainty the paths stretched towards, it is salient through Shiki’s actions how dismayed he felt. For someone who views the world through such a positive outlook, having to reconcile these types of decisions against his heart must hurt. But that is life and such pain can help one grow. Never stop believing Shiki. And never stop loving. The path forward may be harsh but don’t let it break you.
