[Theory] One Piece – King And Rocks

With the revelation of the Lunarian people and their ability to burst into flames, the Rocks Pirates Jolly Roger has me wondering, was Xebec D. Rocks a member of the Lunarian race? Or did he take an interest in them? The Jolly Roger representing the Rocks Pirates (and Rocks in particular) is that of a red skull that appears to be flaming. Why such imagery? With the knowledge of the Lunarian people and what they could do, that imagery can be interpreted in a curious context, one that see Rocks connected to the Lunarian people. Is this why Rocks was so interested in the secrets of the world and becoming King of it? Because he felt the status his people once held was robbed from them?

[Theory] One Piece – Yamato’s Saviors

Yamato in his past when chained by Kaido and locked up in the Sacred cave to starve was saved by three Samurai who referred to themselves by no name but upon closer inspection, it appears they may have been prominent figures in Wano Kuni. Kaido’s comment about them being powerful swordsman and his intent to recruit them indicates the status of those Samurai. At the time of Kaido’s attack on Wano Kuni, all the Daimyo of the regions were defeated and stripped of their power. Oden and his Samurai challenged the Beast Pirates but ultimately lost to Orochi’s schemes. Sukiyuki disappeared while Orochi was present in the Flower Capital and was presumably killed. Yasuie received a message from Oden and chose to protect the Kozuki family. After losing his position as Daimyo, Yasuie then chose to remain among the people to help them through the darkness engulfing Wano. As for the rest of the Daimyo, which total three, they all challenged Kaido and lost. What happened to those three Daimyo after they lost to Kaido? Answering that question establishes the possibility of who Yamato’s saviors really were.

One Piece Chapter 1024 – Yamato VS Kaido: Spirit Of A Samurai

The fight rages. A father advances. A son weights through the multitude of emotions swelling up inside them. Illuminated by the light of a full moon, the two reflect back on their relations and expose their intentions through the actions they express. The future they each seek, conflicts. And present at such a convergence, they clash. Yamato wants to be a Samurai and inspired was he by the legendary warriors that gave their lives for the future. Alongside Oden were the unnamed Samurai that saved Yamato. And on him, those Samurai placed their hope to carry their wills into the future where Wano Kuni could be saved. The burden Yamato chose to carry was not only his own desires but that of the nameless Samurai and Kozuki Oden. They believed in him and he has chosen to believe in himself too. The spirit of the Samurai burns radiantly within the resolve of Yamato.
