Haschwalth’s dedication to Yhwach is almost admirable if not totally suspicious and extreme for how passionate he is about everything Yhwach does. I mean, Yhwach could raise a finger and Haschwalth would be there commenting on how glorious Yhwach beckoned the air to move around his finger. All that preaching about the birth of “New World” originating from their redesigned castle only adds to the crazy I am feeling from the Sternritter, well the one’s left in Yhwach’s employ. Incredibly glad Grimmjow kick-started the counter-attack and refused waiting any longer to engage the Sternritter. Will be interesting to how the few Sternritter are dealt with by the many protagonist in this arc.
I am personally detached from the coverage of the Gotei 13 and apart from a few of the members, I don’t really care much about the Gotei 13 overall. They have time and time against proved themselves to be major annoyances in climatic moments (minus Kenpachi). They should just sit back and let Ichigo (and Co.) do what he does best – save Soul Society.
Mayuri has some sinister idea’s hatching in that mind of his and all for the sake of research. Thank goodness for Zaraki appearing and trolling Mayuri into shock – that face was priceless. With the anti-Yhwach side already separated into four groups – Ichigo and Co., Gotei 13, Mayuri + Zaraki, and the betrayed Sternritter – it seems incredibly likely that that each of the groups will be faced with an Elite Force Sternritter. If that is the case, it will be interesting to see how the Elite Force Sternritter members manage to keep at bay, until their eventual defeat, the many fighter out to defeat them.
I find it interesting that Askin was the one who engaged Ichigo and Co. first, would have expected Mayuri and Zaraki to have a hand in his defeat. I suppose Askin could end up moving towards Zaraki and Mayrui and engaging them. Yoruichi and Pernida’s rematch seems to be pretty much an inevitability, so I am waiting to see how Yoruichi’s fairs against Pernida’s compression ability. Should be exciting when the fight is covered.
Sado getting himself a WHOLE panel of dialog was unbelievable, I can’t believe Kubo-sensei actually decided to give Sado some major dialog lately. Hopefully it continues and he has a prominent role in sharing dialog (not grunts or thumbs up) with everyone.
Grimmjow being the badass he is was great. Looking forward to seeing Nel in combat again and I still believe Harribel should make an appearance in this arc again (hopefully highlighted in battle).
The Gate of the Sun is interesting, I wonder exactly what purpose it serves and why this current chapter was named after it. Certainly it must hold some relevance if the chapter was titled after it. Looking forward to finding out what the Gate of the Sun is and how it will be incorporated further into the story.
