Fairy Tail Chapter 437 – The Revival Of Fairy Tail

Ah they are back, the strongest guild in Fiore!

And it is finally official, the guild renowned as the trouble-makers of the magic world has finally revived and with it the return of all its members, well save for a few – Laxus and the Raijinshuu in particular. The manner in how Lucy’s despair was addressed was handled quite beautifully, not only did it express the traumatic effect Fairy Tail dissolving had for her but it also exemplified exactly how much she loves Fairy Tail and how much her experiences with everyone meant to her. That love which strengthens Lucy also created a vulnerability inside her that caused her to fear accepting the realisation that the time she cherished most would be gone forever. I’m sure each and every member of Fairy Tail felt the same way, which is why they only returned to Magnolia after the recent events.

Fairy Tail Chapter 435-436 – Zeref And Natsu

Rather than Zeref becoming a villain, he found himself having to play such a role

The strangest things really do occur when you least expect it. Definitely was not expecting an in depth look into Zeref’s past and certainly not any information on Natsu’s origins, but it all makes sense now, how exactly Natsu connects in with Zeref. I now understand why Zeref is fond of Natsu and why Zeref has cast himself into the role of being the annihilator of all humans. Zeref may not desire such an outcome, but the end which can be brought about by such an outcome warrants the need to follow such a path. Zeref wishes to die, but is unable to, the contradictory curse governing him has forced him to walk a path he may not want in order to reach a result he truly desires. The duty Zeref speaks of is of being a villain evil enough so that it inspires a hero strong enough to end him to finally appear – Natsu.

One Piece Chapter 787 – The Approaching End

Didn’t think Doflamingo had that much energy left…

With Doflamingo consumed by his madness and rage, he seeks nothing but utter destruction and death now. Unable to chase after Luffy and tired of disposing the fodder standing in his path, he has decided to increase the contraction speed of his Bird Cage to bring about a premature end to the game he has tied Dressrosa and its people into. The hell he has envisioned for each and every single person standing against him is but minutes away and Luffy still unable to move and use Haki has found himself in a situation where he may be too late in liberating the nation he gave his word he would save. Will Zoro and the Tontatta help delay the Bird Cage long enough to buy Luffy enough time to defeat Doflamingo or will the miracle that helps save Dressrosa take another form?

Bleach Chapter 627 – The Recreated World

Hope to finally see the main characters actually feature in a battle!

Looks like Juhabach really does plan to create a world of his shaping once he has done destroying it. I was curious to see what exactly Juhabach’s end goal was and it turns out it was more than just killing the Soul King. Juhabach didn’t just want to destroy the Gotei 13 for what they had done to Quincy a thousand years ago, but he is seeking to completely consume the very world they have created. Juhabach seeks to attain his revenge by replacing the world of the Shinigami by a world of his creation. The Gotei 13 currently represent the “Gods” of the world, but Juhabach plans on creating a world in which the Quincy represent the “Gods”.

One Piece Chapter 786 – The Hope Of Dressrosa

The downsides of Gear Fourth really are severe

What a surprise, so Doflamingo’s defeat has been extended to take place beyond this chapter. I was certain Oda was building up the previous chapter to set-up Doflamingo’s defeat in this chapter, but apparently Oda seeks to highlight the double-edged nature of Gear Fourth before he concludes the battle with Doflamingo. The benefit of focusing on the side-effects of using Gear Fourth is it helps to highlight the charm Luffy has and his ability to attract characters over to his side, which in this case happened to be Gatz and the Gladiator fighters who have been targeting him for the bounty Doflamingo placed on his head.

Bleach Chapter 626 – The Reborn King

What an interesting form…

With Juhabach absorbing the Soul King, it seems he has inherited the purpose the Soul King’s existence embodied, which is serving as the being holding the universes in balance. With his newly attained power, Juhabach seeks to remake the world to his vision and desires, a world devoid of the reality the current one operates by. The obvious effect of Juhabach inheriting the Soul King’s power is the consequence that will result when he is defeated, that being the collapse of the balance of the universes once a being tying them all together is removed. It seems likely that with the defeat of Juhabach, a new character will become the Soul King (Ichigo).

Fairy Tail Chapter 433-434 – Natsu VS Ikusa-Tsunagi

So Ikusa-Tsunagi, a massive deity of battle capable of large-scale destruction, was one of the Yakuma Eighteen War Gods. Arlock sacrificed his own face to summon Ikusa-Tsunagi and was ready to offer him his own life and the lives of all the followers of Avatar in order to create a landscape of death to beckon Zeref. Operation Purification was never only about “purifying” the masses in a town, Arlock had always intended to offer up the souls of the believers of Zeref within Avatar as his ultimate sacrifice. That conviction to his twisted delusion really did make Arlock a dangerous man.

Though the flow of time may have separated the fairies, the bonds of their hearts which has always connected them to each other has led them to gather again and with the threat of a new dark entity rising, the world once again is in need of the guild bold enough to challenge the approaching darkness ready to consume the world. The Mages of Fairy Tail make their return ready to take on the inevitable wickedness awaiting them!

One Piece Chapter 785 – Surviving The Terror

Doflamingo surely felt that…

With the fight reaching its conclusion, it is only a matter of pages now until Doflamingo falls at the fist of Luffy. Doflamingo at the moment just can’t seem to match Gear Fourth Luffy both in terms of speed and power and appears to be instead trying to buy time for the risks of Gear Fourth to kick in and affect Luffy. Throughout their 20 minutes fight, Doflamingo hasn’t once managed to inflict noticeable damage onto Luffy and has instead been the one who is receiving the beating. If Doflamingo does still have the energy to get up after receiving Luffy’s Lion Bazooka, I doubt he would have much strength left to seriously stand against Luffy even if Gear Fourth wears off. It seems very likely that Oda has set-up Doflamingo’s fall for the next chapter – most likely a weakened/weakening Doflamingo vs base Luffy.

Well that was pleasantly surprising seeing many past characters brought back into the focus, especially the lovely Neliel! Nice to see Kubo-sensei using Riruka and Yukio again to set the foundation for the counterattack on the Sternritter. It did take me a while to understand the dynamics of the Garganta and how Kisuke went about exploiting the pockets of reiatsu, known as the Valley of Screams, within the Garganta to devise a way to travel within there. Using Riruka and Yukio to create a transport vessel, what a brilliant man Kisuke, there really is nothing he doesn’t have an answer for.
