One Piece Chapter 761 – Doflamingo’s Desire

So Doflamingo is after the “Royal Treasure” in order to obtain the “treasure of this world” – makes me wonder what the treasure Doflamingo is ultimately after is =/

So there is a certain “Royal Treasure” hidden away somewhere in Mariejois which the World Government, or more accurately the Tenryuubito, would do anything to keep from being found out by the world. For that reason once Doflamingo had come to find out about the existence of such a “treasure”, the Tenryuubito used everything they could to try and kill Doflamingo. But with Doflamingo being too strong and able for them, they opted to cooperate with him instead, hence why even with Doflamingo attempting to destroy everything the Tenryuubito controls around the world, they still ended up giving him a hand when he needed it earlier in this Dressrosa Arc. In addition, Doflamingo intends to use that “Royal Treasure” to obtain the “treasure” of this world, but for that he needs Law’s Ope Ope no Mi.

Looks like more than a few Sternritter arrived in Reioukyuu (Soul King Palace) than just Yhwach, Haschwalth, Uryuu and those fodder that were defeated earlier by Tenjirou. For another named Sternritter to be present at the scene, how exciting and what a curious ability he has, to be able to bend attacks of others. If he is here, I wonder if anymore Sternritter will make an appearance in Reioukyuu, as there are still several unassigned Sternritter letters. Anyway with Ichigo and Co. heading to Reioukyuu, I wonder how they plan to face Yhwach and handle Uryuu, who is obviously in a tough situation.

One Piece Chapter 760 – The Tenryuubito Donquixote Doflamingo

Doflamingo truly was twisted by his time in Mariejois

I would like to say that Doflamingo is a shallow man who is using his bitterness for being rejected by the Tenryuubito to subject others to suffering and pain, but that would be too simple for such a character as Doflamingo. He is a much more complex man, one corrupted by the world he grew up in and confused by the world he was cast into after his father decided to have the family leave Mariejois to live as “normal” humans. The contrasting lifestyle Doflamingo had to grow accustomed to was a reality a world apart from the society which he grew up in and being unable to confound the ‘right and wrong’ of the human society with the ‘right and wrong’ of the Tenryuubito society, Doflamingo grew frustrated and resentful and as a result found an answer in killing his father.

I suppose it was fated for the Naruto vs Sasuke conflict to be the climatic event of the series and thanks to this chapter such a scenario has been set-up. Honestly, while I had expected it, after all the developments Sasuke had gone through after meeting Itachi and realising that revenge isn’t the path that will lead to a positive end, I began to think Sasuke was starting to redeem himself and open his eyes to the actuality of the world and suffering. Apparently though, I was wrong, even after meeting Itachi and hearing him out, Sasuke still intends to fuel destruction by destroying the shinobi system, which includes taking out all five of the Kages. All I can say is I am disappoint Sasuke.

Thank goodness Mayuri showed up, whenever he appears, the content of the chapter immediately becomes significantly more entertaining, meaningful and enjoyable. The fact that Mayuri has handled several enemies standing against him, including zombified Gotei 13 Captains and Lieutenants serves to illustrate just how prepared and effective Mayuri is against the Sternritter. All those years of researching, studying and experimenting on Quincy, Hollow and his fellow Shinigami are all coming in use. With Mayuri now up against some more Sternritter, it should be interesting to see how he handles them as well.

One Piece Chapter 759 – Luffy And Law VS Doflamingo

Lets hope that Red Hawk warmed Doflamingo’s heart up a bit =P

Finally, after all the suffering and pain Doflamingo has inflicted onto others, he is finally getting his just desserts, and this time in the form of a perfectly landed Gomu Gomu no Red Hawk. Hopefully this is just an appetizer for what is to come and we are treated to more of Doflamingo getting beaten in the coming chapters. Everything Doflamingo had others pay for his amusement, he should now own up and pay that all back, preferable in the form of a beating dished out by Luffy onto him. Also, Luffy and Law make one amazing tag-team, the set-up they created to open Doflamingo up was incredible.

Naruto Chapter 691 – The End Of The War

So it seems official, the fourth Shinobi War has ended. With the congratulations and emotional farewells taking place this chapter, it seems hard for Kishimoto-sensei to twist it into a new development of an antagonist returning or a new one appearing, especially after the thoughtful message Naruto left with his dad to pass on to his mother. The mirroring against Kushina’s message to Naruto in chapter 504 was fantastic, Kushina is so going to bawl her eyes dry when she hears what Naruto wants to tell her – what an awesome family.

Bleach Chapter 595 – State Of Heart

Mayuri’s experiments seems to be bearing fruit =)

Chapters like this make you miss the Arrancar and how amazingly badass the Espada were (save for the lackluster handling of the top four Espada – including Yammy, at the climax of the Winter War). I don’t really have a problem with Pepe’s ideology of love and how it governs conflict, but the moment he ended up overly expressing his love in a disturbingly excessive fashion, I couldn’t help but find myself incredibly taken aback and bewildered. If Kubo-sensei was going for the “shock-factor”, he definitely achieved that, along with a scene one would want to erase from their memory.
