More Sternritter appear in front of Zaraki: Candice, Meninas, Liltotto, and Giselle – – colour by HikariNoGiri
Well it has come at last, fantasy boy Gremmy has finally keeled over and the story can now progress into another of the many battles ongoing within Soul Society. I am surprised Gremmy’s concluding comments took half a chapter to deal with as he has already had substantial time within the last few chapters to be within the focus. Personally I didn’t find his character all that interesting and became indifferent about his character over four chapters ago. Yachiru’s sudden disappearance is interesting, especially with her shinigami outfit and badge left at the scene of the battle. Anyway with Zaraki partially injured and Liltotto, Meninas, Candice, and Giselle showing up I am intrigued to see how this scene will develop (and what happened to Bambietta?).
Amusing seeing Gremmy come up with excuses as to why his imagination didn’t lose to Zaraki but as he realised, his imagination really was the reason he lost. Surprising to see that Gremmy’s “actual form” was a brain and his humanoid form was a product of his imagination as well. I can’t say I was fascinated by the way Gremmy used his power of imagination against Zaraki as other stories do utilise such a power in more fantastical ways, but I suppose Gremmy did boast a lot of strength and only people like Zaraki would be able to overcome him.
Fading into darkness…
Yachiru’s uniform and badge left on the scene of the battle with her no where in sight is quite the curious development, what exactly happened to her and why did she leave her uniform and badge? And why can’t Zaraki sense her reiatsu? Did someone abduct her while Zaraki’s attention was focused on Gremmy?
Either way, more Sternritter have appeared in front of Zaraki and I do question the level of sanity they have and wonder if they are truly mad to face Zaraki regardless of whether he is partially injured or not. Looking forward to seeing what Liltotto (“G”), Meninas (“P”), Candice (“T”), and Giselle (“Z”) will end up doing and whether they intend to really take on Zaraki. I also wonder if they have anything to do with Yachiru’s disappearance =/.
