Well that was a bit unexpected, so Hendricken attempted to have Arthus “assassinated” during the walk to the castle. I was half-expecting Melodias and Arthur to end up clashing with each other during this arc, but with this development, things have got a lot more interesting. The Hendricksen vs Arthur match-up is quite the treat, I was wondering how strong Arthur was and I guess he may just tease us with his capabilities in this battle before it is interrupted – by Melodias and Co.? That hooded character traveling with Arthus, I am curious to learn who exactly they are and their purpose of traveling with Arthur. Diane showing up at the end of the chapter in the underground section of Merlin’s Research Facility was a surprising twist, looks like Diane and King will be the first of the Seven Deadly Sins to battle this arc =D.
I suppose with so many suspicious dealings Hendricksen needs to hide, having some curious individual happen upon them wasn’t a risk he was willing to take, so much so that he even challenged King Arthur without even knowing Arthur’s capabilities. Arthur is probably aware that something sinister is occurring somewhere inside Liones, this could be the reason for his sudden presence there. If that hooded figure is Merlin and she informed him of what Hendricksen may have been up to, Arthur would probably get a bit curious and want to find out. Well regardless of what Arthur’s reason are and whether that hooded figure is Merlin, Hendricksen has challenged Arthur and two have now exchanged blows with Hendricksen suffering the first injury thanks to Arthur’s counter to Hendricksen’s surprise attack.
That teleporting Holy Knight, I am interested in finding out who her opponent will be and how her teleporting ability will be countered. It is an incredibly useful ability that could very well see Elizabeth captured again.
Amusing seeing Melodias, Ban and Gowther sneak around the city towards the castle. With the destruction of the building during the Hendricksen vs Arthur battle drawing the attention of Melodias (followed by Ban and Gowther), I wonder how things will play out once those three parties encounter each other.
Dreyfus, bless his intuition and suspicion of Hendricksen, I’m glad someone is giving Hendricksen and his followers the evil eye in regards to their lack of honesty and sly comments. Will also be interesting to see how Hendricksen and/or Helbram react to Geera’s request of wanting to know the truth about her father’s disappearance. Will they feed her more lies? Hopefully with Jericho with her, some truth will be uncovered.
As strong as I believe Diane is, she is in quite the pickle, up against six Holy Knights and in a constricted position. Unless King shows up, she could very well suffer some injuries before she is able to gain some space to maneuver around in. Either way, it will be exciting to see how Diane handles this situation next chapter – the title of chapter 66 sure is ominous, “first casualty”…
