With the main characters now coming out to reveal their dishes, it is hilarious seeing the judges unable to contain themselves and merely moderately taste the dishes they are presented with, especially when it is shown through Natsume’s reaction =P – it illustrates just how talented the current first year in Tootsuki Academy is. And to think we have yet to see the main players of this competition reveal their dishes and who knows how many dark horses they are left waiting to showcase just what they got, things are getting exciting.

Ooooooh I was wondering what Fujitora would do, so his plan is to prevent any harm from befalling the citizens of Dressrosa by stopping the Strawhats and then follow through with his own justice and deal with Doflamingo “afterwards”, what a badass Fujitora. To think such an independent and open mind is active in a significant position within the Marines. The other highlight of the chapter was Sabo, that pipe of his…incoming Busoshoku Haki hardening and a complete rampage by Sabo on Burgess and Diamante. Ah I can’t wait, including Franky, Luffy/Zoro/Kin’emon/Viola/Wicca, Robin/Usopp/Tontatta tribe, Soldier-san, and Sanji/Nami/Brook/Chopper/Momonosuke, there is so much to look forward to in the coming chapters as the arc reaches its climax.

What made the chapter for me was the focus on Hinata and Kishimoto-sensei actually making some effort to have her express her love for Naruto through action…such a dam shame he made her trip and fall. Hopefully though since she is reflecting on Neji’s death and how he left Naruto’s protection to her, she ends up getting back up and running to Naruto’s side. Apart from that, Spiral Zetsu surprised me, does he have himself wrapped around Yamato enabling him/his will to use the Mokuton jutsu and the five elements? Well at least now we know what the Kages and the Shinobi alliance have been up to since we last seen them.

That came completely out of nowhere, to think such a magnificent chapter was waiting for us right after the Mask de Masculine arc (it practically felt like one given how grating Mask de Masculine’s character was), great work Kubo-sensei! Anyway back to this weeks chapter, it managed to tie together so many hanging plot points; from why Yhwach was doing nothing while his Sternritter die, why he is such a special Quincy being noted as the ‘origin’ of Quincy, and what direction the story of this arc will end up taking. The stakes just upped and it has become more complex than Ichigo merely defeating all the opponents he faces, how will he now deal with the reverse Quincy ability Yhwach was born with?
