The 2013 Summer Anime Season is in full swing and there are quite a lot of shows I actually am interested in and plan to watch:
>>Kingdom 2: I’ve been meaning to watch the first season of this as it seems quite interesting, so I’ll probably end up watching this season as well when I get around to it.
>>Free!: ‘a story of swimming, youth and friendship’, this looks like it could be quite the inspiring show to watch. Preview
>>Dangaronpa Kibou no Gakuen to Zetsubou no Koukousei The Animation: the synopsis alone already has me immensely intrigued and curious, the trailer pushes that interest into the realms of excitement, this original story series seems like it could be quite the entertaining show. Trailer
>>Senki Zesshou Symphogear G: haven’t watched the first season but already plan on watching it so I do plan to watch the second season of it as well. Trailer
>>Fate/kaleid liner Prisma★Illya: well the preview video did absolutely nothing to help me figure out what this series is about, is it a slice of life series? But since it is related to Fate/stay night, I give this series a go and see if I enjoy it or not. Preview
>>Monogatari Series Second Season: Nisio Isin is a fantastic writer and the Monogatari series has been very enjoyable so far so I’m definitely watching this. The preview video was spellbindingly captivating, just like the series itself =D:
>>Genshiken Nidaime: so there were previous seasons to this, I’ll have to track them down and watch them some time =D. Trailer
>>Uchouten Kazoku: the synopsis sounds somewhat interesting but what really sold this series to me was the preview video, it gave me the impression that this series is one with a story to tell and while doing so to have a good time =D. Looking very enjoyable and promising, really looking forward to watching it now:
>>Blood Lad: the fun appeal, stylized quality and enjoyable nature of this series based of the preview video makes this show seems real interesting. Preview
>>Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai Season 3: I watched the previous two seasons and enjoyed them, I also have been following the manga and even though I am a bit over a year behind in chapters, I’ve absolutely loved what I have read so far – this series has some solid writing and everything come together so wonderfully. Preview
>>Gin no Saji: Silver Spoon: ever since reading Fullmetal Alchemist, I’ve been interested in the series Arakawa Hiromu writes because she has a tremendous talent at creating a comprehensive and meaningful story that is just such a pleasure to read. It may not be a Fullmetal Alchemist, but so what, Arakawa-sensei has already established that she can write an amazing shounen story which is quite possibly the best shounen manga written, now she is extending her scope and showing her range of writing by taking on an educational and very relevant slice-of-life story. It’s pretty much the opposite of Fullmetal Alchemist – from fantasy to reality, but that is just what makes Silver Spoon so appealing to watch.
>>Gatchaman Crowds: Oooh an action series that seems really exciting, I can’t wait. The opening is really cool –opening.
>>Kimi no Iru Machi: I’ve been reading the manga and I absolutely love it, if I were to describe how I felt reading it, I would describe it as feeling like a dream. Kimi no Iru Machi is by far one of my most favourite romance drama manga’s I’ve read, I found it incredibly inspirational. The developments within the story are quite intense and parts of the story will really leave your emotions on edge, especially around the time when the characters are in high school. But after certain developments take place, you find yourself being really happy with the way things turned out even if problems do still surround the characters. The thoughts “a lot has happened” dominate your mind when you try to describe just what the two main characters have been through. Really looking forward to the anime.
Thank you for reading and enjoy the Summer 2013 Anime Season.
