Such a contrast in personality when Ichigo has power and when he doesn’t have power. When he has power, he is able to believe and push himself to defeat his opponent, but when he doesn’t, he just caves in as we’ve seen through this arc. Awesome to see Ichigo back and even being sarcastic when he missed Kuugo =P. Anyway turns out Kuugo will be a much more significant character in Bleach.
Finally! I’ve been waiting for this scene for a while, thank you Rukia, you managed to drag Ichigo out of the pitiful state he was in for the past 36 chapters. And it does seem the chapters filled with uneasiness and trolling are over and the point where Ichigo lays down a beating on someone is at hand (just like Aizen found out last arc). Poor Kuugo, he finally gets to see just what a REAL Getsuga Tensho is…but unfortunately for him, he is the target…I wonder if Kubo will have Kuugo die now, or will he lead this situation onto a whole new bigger situation ie. a new saga or arc? Well whatever happens, I am interested in finding out the answers to some of the questions I accumulated over the course of this arc O.o.
Toriko at it’s most basic level is a story about food, and amazingly Shimabukuro Mitsutoshi is able to take such a concept and turn it into a successful shounen series (which is remarkable). The story follows the Bishokuya (Gourmet Hunter) and one of the Four Heavenly Kings, Toriko and his partner Chef Komatsu on their adventure and quest of acquiring rare ingredients and animals. Toriko’s dream is to find the most precious foods in the world and to create the ultimate dinner course. Komatsu travels with Toriko to improve his culinary skills by getting closer to the ingredients he uses for his cooking and to find rare ingredients.
Compelled by each other and supported by one another, the collective hearts of Fairy Tail grasp today and embrace tomorrow. Through the air of mystery and the echoes of adventure, they pursue the answers and enduring the times with their lives on the line and courage in their hearts, they rush towards the radiating light in search of change and the feeling of life.
Sorry excuse me for a second while I calm down from the insane hilarity at the start of the chapter and the even insaner badassery at the end of the chapter…okay I think I’ve calmed do-….oh hold on, not yet, memories of the chapter are preventing the massive smile I have right now from fading and my blood rushing around my body from slowing down…oh goodness, such excitement…
…I’m just going to go ahead and steal a line from Shirahoshi “Amazing!! Luffy-sama…”
My goodness, Naruto this week was incredible. Finally the purpose of behind the crow is revealed and wow was it deeper than I had expected. I had a feeling it was a jutsu to counter Edo Tensei and to counter Sasuke’s sharingan, but I did not see the inclusion of Shisui and his ultimate genjutsu and just how much planning Itachi had put into everything. Seriously Itachi is incredible, and Kishimoto’s writing is amazing.
So that’s how it is, Ginjou and Tsukishima were actually working together, guess I was wrong in predicting that the two weren’t in league with one another, but that’s fine, I like how things turned out. Rather than more mystery and twist, it’s great the arc is finally getting into heart of things and finally revealing just what direction it intends to travel towards. Ichigo just isn’t the same without Rukia around, I have come to realise this arc that Rukia served as much more than just a friend to Ichigo. Just as Zangetsu and Hollow Ichigo were part of Ichigo, Rukia’s presence served as something equally important. With Rukia around, Ichigo can be the Ichigo that is the hero of Bleach, rather than some whiney manipulated boy which he was during this arc (completely and utterly manipulated by Ginjou and Tsukishima without putting up much resistance).
So truth about what actually happened during Queen Otohime’s assassination is revealed and so is the true extent of Hody’s madness. And the Strawhat pirates, what an insanely kickass entrance, especially Luffy, his entrance was set-up so marvelously =).
